Dr. Boucher worked with the National Coffee Federation in Columbia to study the feasibility of developing index-based crop insurance for coffee producers in Columbia. He is interested in researching risk management for small-holder coffee producers, benefits to coffee growers of participating certification programs and consumer willingness to pay for certifications and other traits.
