Continuing and Professional

The Coffee Center recognizes the gap of continuing education opportunities for coffee industry professionals—from the barista to the farmer to the executive. We are developing curricula that will provide educational opportunities for industry professionals through a diverse portfolio of technical trainings, workshops, short courses and lectures.   We will offer introductory short courses, more intense workshops on focused topics, and longer certificate programs. We also plan to partner with the UC Davis Graduate School of Management to create a “Coffee Executive Program,” modeled after their successful Wine Executive Program aimed at teaching executives both the science and business fundamentals.

Current offerings:

“The Design of Coffee” course is being offered through the UC Davis Extension in the summer of 2018 and will open to anyone. This course will be the same as our undergraduate course but will be condensed into a two-week intensive format.  See here for more details.
